I saw them in san fran in nov for the second time. I highly recommend you see them headline and not at an outside venue. their light show is always amazing!
I know, I have the HOB DVD and I wish I could see that in real life. I watch it a lot. Hopefully next time they come around I’ll be able to go.

Nothings really been happening with me. I’ve been really bored. I’ve just had finals at school, and not sure how to think about how I did. Since Christmas break I’ve written eight songs. Three of which I’ve made into real songs with my band The Non-List. It’s me and a friend and we make acoustic stuff. I also have this idea for a video that was inspired by Olan Rogers video “Love Sparks”(which is a really great video) Well what I’m gonna do is just film random stuff then I’m gonna put them together. I’m not sure how long I’m gonna take on it though. I’ve also been obsessed with “Balloon Shop” which is a youtube channel that is really funny. And recently yesterday me and my friend were gonna make a video until we got scared cause a dog started chasing us and we didn’t want to go back to where we were trying to film. The funny thing about it is that it was a small dog, and all I can remember is just thinking “Oh shit, DOG!, RUN!”.So hopefully with a four(now like three)day weekend I’ll do something fun. I also want to change my tumblr theme cause I don’t like mine, but I can’t find a cool one…

There is music people like cause they’re catchy and have a good beat or whatever. There is also music that have that and more. That being music that actually mean something. Music that has a story, talks about stuff around the world, or that persons own beliefs. I bring this up because this has been in my head for A LONG TIME… and couldn’t stop to think that I like some music cause it has meaning. I.e. Thrice is a big example. The lyrical genius that is “Dustin Kensrue” and showing his emotion, feeling, and beliefs into something more than a song, but a story. I’m not gonna talk about Thrice or Dustin, cause I always talk about them. Other bands I think either show that meaning, or in a way kinda show it are Brand New, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, and so many more.
Now for the music I listen to that I think doesn’t really have meaning, but like to listen to. Well I’m sure they have some sort of meaning. It’s just not as big as others. More about love, people, and having a good time, well…partying? For me a big example is All Time Low. I don’t really like there newer stuff(only weightless). I say there older stuff has more meaning. They have some catchy songs sound wise and lyrical wise too, but no REAL meaning. Other bands I think of this way are The All American-Rejects, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Plain White T’s, and more. Also “Screamo” bands. I say this mainly because I don’t know what they’re saying half of the time, and don’t really care to look up the lyrics.
Case and Point:My music taste has a wide variety, manly rock. But It’s those bands that do this not for money, but to give something more then just noise but feeling and truth. weather in opinion, or real truth. Those are bands I REALLY like, but there are some I really like and listen to cause they’re fun to listen to. So don’t be shy and try new things, I’m sure you’ll find at least one thing that you’ll like. Not sure if any of this made sense, but behind that wall of noise and in the words you hear there’s something really deep. But it’s not everywhere.

haha well i guess we haven’t had any of the old DIE HARD fans follow yet lol but i can understand why beggars isn’t a top contender. idk why but i can see it. maybe its really good but not a revelation? i always describe it as a cold album, like the instruments (especially guitar) its still great but maybe not as inspiring and warm as say Vheissu.
I know what you mean. Well I’ve been a fan of Thrice for quite while but not long enough to call myself a die hard, and I love IC(I love all there albums). I guess it’s also just cause of the other stuff I’m into.
