Tell the story of Chester C. Cluckington, the first chicken to cross the road.
On February 29th, 1892 Chester C. Cluckington was feeling a little curious. He decided to go against all the other chickens’ rules and go beyond the unknowing route of doom. He grabbed his goggles, strapped on his shoes, and headed down the Unknowing Route of Doom.
Frightened by the old stories of many chicken who’ve gone and never returned back to Chicken Town, he began to shiver at the cold mist of air that filled the Route of Doom. He heard marching feet, and strange noises. Chester was unsure whether or not he should continue, but he knew if he gave up he’d be the laughing stock of all of Chicken Town. So He continued on.
There he saw, a road. Beyond that road was open land where he could frolic with anything he could desire. Slowly, he touches the warm gravel beneath one foot. He got both feet on the road and gained a huge smile. He begins to sprint off, but suddenly the force of an axe comes from the skies right through his neck. He only made it half way until he turned into nuggets for the youngins.
And that’s the story of Chester C. Cluckington, the first chicken to “cross the road” And that’s why we have a leap year. Thank you for reading, have a nice day.
